Mission — 2026 World Cup: Ukrainians begin preparations for decisive matches

The Ukrainian national team is starting preparations for the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Iceland (October 10, Reykjavik) and Azerbaijan (October 13, Krakow).

Players who compete in the Ukrainian championship traveled to the national team’s camp by train to Warsaw, and from there by bus. Foreign-based players joined their teammates directly in Poland.

The blue and yellows will train at this base until October 8, after which they will fly to Reykjavik. The next day, October 9, the traditional pre-match events will take place there: a press conference with Serhiy Rebrov and one of the players (at 8:30 p.m. Kyiv time), as well as a training session (at 9:00 p.m.) at the Leigarðalsvöllur arena, where the Iceland-Ukraine match will take place. The return to Poland is scheduled for October 11.
